Keep a Child Alive Focuses On:
  • Treatment Access to AIDS treatment can transform the lives of people with AIDS, returning them from sickness to health. But only 6.6 million of the 15 million people worldwide who so desperately need treatment, have access to it, leaving 8.4 million waiting. Keep a Child Alive makes this access easier by providing free treatment at our clinics for those in need.
  • Care In order for AIDS treatment to be successful, people need proper nutrition and surrounding care. Keep a Child Alive provides first class AIDS care through doctors, nutrition, testing, transportation and treatment for opportunistic infections at the clinics and care homes we fund. KCA also provides the loving care and support of a family to keep orphaned and abandoned children safe.
  • Orphans 16.6 million children have lost their parents to AIDS worldwide. 15 million of them are in sub-Saharan Africa alone. These children will face enormous risks in their struggle to stay alive. Keep a Child Alive provides support to these children and their extended family caregivers, and builds and sustains orphanages to keep the most vulnerable children out of harm's way.
  • Awareness Through documentary films and ground-breaking media campaigns, Keep a Child Alive directly engages the global public in the fight against AIDS. We actively work to educate people about the emergency issues of AIDS in Africa and India in an effort to re-invent the way they perceive their role in being part of the solution.
