About Us - Providing treatment, love & support to families affected by HIV/AIDS.

Our Mission
Keep a Child Alive believes that every person has the right to health care and that all children deserve a future. We support innovative, community-led responses that increase access to life-saving HIV treatment and care, nutritious food, and loving support for children and families living with and affected by HIV in Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, and India.
-
Our Beginning
The seed of Keep a Child Alive was sown in Kenya in 2002. Royalties from Leigh Blake’s previous fundraiser, Red Hot & Blue, built the AIDS Research and Family Care Clinic in Mombasa. A woman named Anne walked in to the clinic, desperate to obtain the anti-retroviral drugs her three-year-old son Brine needed to survive.
-
Our Focus
Keep a Child Alive believes the best way to serve those affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India is to focus on providing Treatment, Food, Orphan Care and a Future.
