Keep a Child Alive

The PHRU co-directors and their clinic staff have made PHRU an internationally recognized leader in HIV/AIDS research and policy, specifically within the field of mother-to-child transmission of HIV. Keep a Child Alive provided PHRU with an ongoing emergency grant to support 200 children with AIDS in need of immediate treatment and care until they are able to access services from the local Department of Health, frequently a dangerously long process. PHRU was the second site Keep a Child Alive ever funded, and we are proud that our funding has helped make this center one of the best HIV pediatric research facilities in the world.
