A birthday wish.
There are 17 million children who have lost one or both parents to AIDS – 90% of them live in sub-Saharan Africa.
Kgothatso is one of these children.
She not only lost her mother and father, but she also lost her brother. Despite experiencing tremendous loss, Kgothatso is a cheerful thirteen-year-old with a bright future. She plans to be a pilot or a doctor and knows its possible thanks to Ikageng, a KCA-funded program supporting children who have been orphaned due to AIDS. Kgothatso doesn’t have to worry if her school fees will be paid each month or whether she’ll have a clean uniform to wear. She can be just like any average teenager, excited to celebrate her birthday with cake!
Kgothatso believes that she will see the end of AIDS in her lifetime. Let’s come together to grant her that wish. Donate now to Keep a Child Alive.
