Hello!

My name is Ali. I am excited to be running the 2024 New York City Marathon on behalf of Keep a Child Alive (KCA).

My first marathon was running the 2016 Boston Marathon on behalf of BuildOn. And since then, it’s always been a dream to run in the NYC marathon and I cannot wait to make it happen.

But before I get there, I need your help! As I train for this iconic 26.2-mile race, my goal is to raise over $5,000 to support the incredible work done by KCA (co-founded by Alicia Keys). KCA supports over 150k children and young people in Africa and Asia to lead happier, healthier and more dignified lives.

Impact of Donations:

– $30 Provides one month of comprehensive, life-saving care to a child living with HIV
– $75 Offers a place to live including care for an orphaned child for one month
– $100 Feeds two families in South Africa impacted by HIV for a month
– $250 Pays for skills training and a loan to start a small business, enabling Indian mothers to support their families
– $500 Provides a Ugandan pregnant woman with 18 months of care, everything she needs to prevent mother-to-child transmission to her baby
– $1,000 Covers the costs of youth peer support group meeting for a year in Uganda

I will personally cover all of my own expenses related to the race, which means all donations will go directly towards my fundraising goal for KCA. Donations made through this platform are secure and the full amount will be remitted directly through to KCA.
